As first author, I presented CounterHelp, a tool that promotes online civil courage among young people by generating AI-assisted counter-speech. The idea is to lower the barrier to responding constructively to online hate: instead of staying silent, young users get support in formulating an effective, considered reply.
The work was presented at ACM Multimedia, one of the leading international venues in the field, and grows out of the CounterSpeech project on countering online hate.
